Few consumers understand what polyols are, and health professionals are key to helping them learn. This self-study module on polyols will enlighten learners as to the types of polyols found in foods, their health and functional benefits, and ways to counsel clients on incorporating polyols into a healthful diet.

After completing this self-study learning module, health professionals will be able to:
- Define polyols.
- Identify the various types of polyols found in foods and beverages.
- Understand the uses and health effects of polyols in foods.
- Counsel clients on how to incorporate polyols into an overall healthful eating pattern.

Instructions
Step 1: Register for this free CPE self-study module. The self-study module is open to everyone, but you must register in order to be eligible for CPE credit.
Step 2: Read and View the Online Program.
Step 3: Complete Online Learning Assessment Quiz. After completing the quiz, you will receive your score and view the Answer Key. Print the Certificate of Completion to retain for your records.
Step 4: Complete the Program Evaluation so that Calorie Control Council may continually improve its CPE offerings.
